A {Homecoming} Sound Bytes of the Week

And so begins another weekend.

I’d like to say that our weekend will be relaxing and laid back, but it’s going to be as busy as ever.

As soon as I get off work today it will be go, go, go…and a little fight, fight, fight because it’s time for Homecoming in Iowa City and we will making our way downtown for the festivities. The boys’ preschool walks in the parade, and since little G is still an attendee, big brother and I get to walk in the parade too.

It’s so fun, and the boys like waving at all the people and yelling “Go Hawkeyes.”

The parade has been a tradition for our family, since before Bill and I were married. It’s a great way to get hyped up for the big game on Saturday. Unfortunately after our humiliating loss to Central Michigan last Saturday we need all the pep rally mojo we can get, especially since we will be playing the undefeated Golden Gophers. {yes, I’m totally football crazy}. Oh, and I’m looking forward to pumpkin French toast with a side order of Starbucks and Baileys. Bring on the tailgate…

While I dream of tailgate grub and a big Hawkeye win, you can enjoy this week’s Sound Bytes.

3. “For goodness sake mom, just let him watch one choo choo. He’s only a baby.”
Between G’s cuteness factor and his big bro advocating for him, I think G will get to watch choo choo every day for the rest of his life.

2. “Can we play sharks and minerals.”
Minnows, little man Minnows.

1. “Go Hawkeyes! Go Hawkeyes!”
Little G has it down already, we start our Hawkeyes early.

What little tidbits did you hear this week?

It’s time to get this FRIDAY started.
