New Year New Apps with US Cellular {Sponsored}

This post is part of my partnership with the US Cellular Blogger Brigade Ambassador Program.

Can you believe it’s almost the end of January?

I can’t.

The year is  flying by like a toddler on a tricycle. It seems like just yesterday I was planning my goals, and choosing my One Word for 2014. {I don’t do resolutions}.

Intentional was the word, and my goal is to live life with purpose.

One of the ways I’ve been living intentionally is by making a schedule.

Between doctor appointments, pickups and drop offs, kid’s activities, the hubs basketball games and work commitments my head was about to explode. Thank goodness for the calendar on US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S4. Now instead of transcribing every appointment on multiple calendars I just pop it into my phone. Google even sends me an email notification, and I can sync my calendar to Google and share it with the hubs.

Keeping all my appointments organized helps me find the time to battle lightsabers with the boys or spend quality time with the hubs.

Through my partnership with US Cellular I found some great apps to help me start the New Year right.

MyFitnessPal

Since triathlon training is right around the corner, and my holiday eating habits consisted of cereal and cookies, I downloaded MyFitnessPal. I can create personalized workout programs and the app delivers progress reports so I can keep track of my training. It also has a database of over 3,000,000 foods to help monitor my caloric intake and daily diet, which is especially important during training season. MyFitnessPal also connects me to my friends so that we can encourage each other and provide extra motivation.

Mint

Managing my finances always takes so much time and cause me so much stress. As I try to live 2014 with intention, each dollar I spend needs to be accounted for. I’m a writer not a mathmatician and Mint is just what I needed to keep me on track. It analyzes my personal finance accounts and is a convenient way to track my spending, create budgets and start saving money. The app it will even send me  alerts regarding upcoming bills, unusual activity and low balances.

I’m not sure what I’d do without my GS4. Probably be late all the time, never balance my checkbook and eat cookies everyday. That’s not how I want to spend my year. I’m sure you don’t either. So, go download an app or two and get 2014 started right. It’s not too late.
