I have a new blog home if you haven’t noticed.
And while I love the design … it feels weird.
Like I’m writing on someone’s page.
Inserting myself into their home.
I have been blogging for almost two years and over there was home to me. I could whip out a blog post in ten seconds flat complete with photos, links and colored type. {That MIGHT be an exaggeration}
Now…here…I struggle.
Every blog post takes for FREAKING ever. I have a learning curve to overcome and it’s infuriating me. It almost…almost makes me dread posting.
Perhaps I’m getting too old to change. You know you can’t teach an old dog new tricks sort of thing. Or perhaps, just like everything it takes time.
Time to feel comfortable again.
To cozy up and snuggle in, to grow and learn.
Blogging has always been a learning process and why should this be any different. If I want to grow and stretch beyond my boundaries, perhaps this home will give me the room I need.
I feel you for sure!
It seems like many interfaces are changing now. I’m not a fan of change. It takes me long enough with a format I’m familiar with so changing it all up on me just makes me feel irritated!
That is exactly how I felt when I moved to wordpress, but then I moved right back to blogger and I feel SO MUCH BETTER. I know I lost followers that way but really- blogging is my outlet and if I didn’t feel comfortable.
HOWEVER!!!
I love your new digs, Brook! You will ROCK IT. Just like you rock everything else.
