In a couple of more weeks we will have been in our new home for a full year. And what a year it’s been. I have come to the conclusion that once we moved into this new house, it said “oh crap” under its breath.
Seriously, the family before us baked cookies for the showing and wrote us a nice letter the house probably wants those people back. But now it’s stuck with us – two crazy boys who scream and run around the house just because they can, and a mom and dad who spend countless hours running and screaming after them.
Between our schedules, both my husband I work full-time and the kids are involved in after school sports and school activities, it’s hard to keep track of everyone. There have been many days I’ve woken up and realized that Little Red has a doctor appointment or the hubs has to work late.
On those days I run faster, and repeat over and over again “we really need a house hub.” Well, I finally have one – thanks to the hubs. Basically, it’s a space {other than the kitchen counter} to organize the mail, store keys, cellphones and sunglasses. I can even post our Summer Bucket List, and most importantly there’s a calendar {cue angels singing}.
But here’s the thing, sure it’s all functional, but I wanted to put some personality into it. A little bit of “us” so to speak.
Luckily Lindsay from Pen and Paint offered to help. She let me choose two prints from her Etsy store to complete our house hub.
It took me a while to choose – like two hours. Check out her Etsy store and you will know why. There are so many wonderful prints, each with their own message and personality {just like us}.
Eventually, I picked these.
Seems pretty fitting doesn’t it.
And nothing says home like a little Hawkeye state love.
I’d say the space turned out perfectly.
Do you have a space you’d like to personalize?
Enter the Rafflecopter below and you could win a $20 credit to Pen and Paint.
Giveaway ends on Friday, June 20.
Oooo pick me!
We have those same mail and key organizers (except in white) and love them!
I can see why it took you so long to select something. There are so many fun prints. I love the print that says, “Live a Creative Life” and I also love the one that says “Be the best version of yourself.” I tell my kids that often. Hope I win! Otherwise, I’m bookmarking the site to shop later. 😉
