On Friday the lovely Gem from Dreams of a Life in the Countryawarded me my first blog award.
If you haven’t visited her blog yet I encourage you to do so. She’s super sweet and lives in LONDON! Which is pretty cool {at least to me}.
We met during Virtual Coffee early last year, and have been chatting back and forth ever since. We even exchanged gifts over the holidays. E was pretty impressed by the package that came all the way from London. He even made me look London up on the map.
The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favorite or dearest, it is used to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note.
Here are the rules:

- Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
- Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.

- Chelsea at On the Road with D. A blog about what happens when, against your father’s wishes, you sell all your belongings, buy a van and travel the country with your boyfriend and dog. Her posts are sporadic due to internet connections, but when you find one it’s bliss.
- Courtenay at IASoupMama is becoming a regular at my Sound Bytes of the Week. She doesn’t write a cooking blog, but she is cooking up fun in the Midwest. Oh, and she’s mom of four, two of which are itty bitty twins. Another hero.
So there are my choices for award winning blogs. Check ’em out and give ’em some props, because sometimes this blogging thing is tough and it’s nice to feel the love once in while.
