A {Randomite} Sound Bytes of the Week

Happy Friday…so glad it’s finally here.

Wait. I say that every Friday, but it’s oh so VERY true, and I know I’m not the only one feeling that way. This week has zoomed right by {just like me behind the wheel}, and as E says “we will soon have two stay home days.”

Ahhh, stay home days. We love ’em at our house. We do have some plans for this weekend. Our school is hosting an open gym playdate on Saturday, and as our favorite teacher said “you just have to go. Two hours of letting the kids run around and wear themselves out is priceless.” Ah…yes…I concur. Run, kids, run.

Then…drumroll please…B2 and I are going on a date. Yep a real one at night, at a real restaurant. Can you believe it? I know I can’t. The funniest part is once we do have alone time all we talk about are the kids or we are too tired to even talk so we just sit and soak in the fact that we can eat in peace.

Of course since I wrote this I probably cursed myself, I’ll let you know what happens on Tuesday.

And one last totally awesome thing before we get to this week’s Sound Bytes. I have NEW Followers. Yep, a bunch of new ones. And I would like to take this time to extend you a formal welcome. I try not to get too hung up on stats and gaining new followers, but…it’s so cool to know that people like my writing so much they just keep coming back for more. I’m like a potato chip…you can’t have just one.

Ok, back to the task at hand…hold your hats folks…the Sound Bytes are heeerrrreee!

3. “I”m zooming to give dad some refreshment.”
E “‘bought” this Star Wars fan Valentine candy type thingy for B2 and kept trying to blow the fan in his face. It kind of reminds me of some sort of weird tool for menopausal women who like Star Wars.

2. “You know why I don’t try the food you make? Because I want to make sure there’s enough left for both of you.”
You have to hand it to the boy. He’s pretty clever. But I hate to break the bad news E, you will still need to try at least one bite.

The number one Sound Byte is by my little redhead. I knew it was only a matter of time before he would give big brother a run for his money. I’m not big on sitting through videos, but if you are patient you will hear at least three or four actual words. Way to go big guy.

1. “Cracker” , “Apple” and “Bye Bye”

What did you hear this week?

That’s it from me. I’m off to work, and hopefully I’ll have time to pick up a much needed latte on the way.

I’m looking forward to chilling with the boys this weekend…it looks like they are getting a head start.

What are you looking forward to this weekend?
