A {Mini Break} Virtual Coffee

Ok, I have twenty minutes to spare while dinner is in the oven to hangout, chit chat and down a mug or two of coffee {hopefully spiked with Baileys}.

Ready. Set. Go.

How was your weekend? Where did you go? What did you do?

I spent Saturday catching up on random household tasks like twenty loads of laundry, decluttering the kitchen table {on which I found a bag of cat food, a random clay object by E and five magazines that I haven’t read yet}.

On Sunday, the boys and I joined Mimi and Papa for brunch. We almost didn’t go because my little clothing Diva, E, didn’t have the right sweat pants and wanted to wear his PJs all day. UGH….this truly needs to stop. Papa even invited him to work with power tools outside and he said “No” because he’d have to put on real clothes. I think I’ve created a monster.

Are any of your children like that? Do they have special outfits they can’t live without?

If we were really meeting over our spiked coffees I’d tell you that I registered E for kindergarten today. Yep, already. I can’t even believe it! He’s getting so big and so old it’s making me sad. Trust me come August I’ll have some sob story post about the first day of kindergarten. The only consolation to this milestone is the money we will save on child care. I think once E is in kindergarten our childcare will finally be less than our monthly mortgage payment.

Well, that’s all I have up in here. We are sitting down to dine on Calzones that I found on where else Pinterest. Not that calzones are all that hard, but these you wrap it in this super cool way that makes you look like a fancy cook, and I need all the help I can get.

Thanks for coffee, sorry for the rushed date. I think there will be a time {probably when the kids are in college} that I could finally linger over coffee.

I’ll be stopping by Amy’s later tonight to catch up. Ciao!

  1. >We have a fireman shirt that is in HIGH demand. And sometimes I just give in and let them wear jammies wherever we go. Those are the days they think I rock most. Hope you have a good rest of Tuesday. 🙂

  2. >drew always wants a jersey and since he can't wear shorts he carries his sporty shorts with him like a teddy bear lol. happy week to you!!

  3. >{SIGH} Is it horrible that I'm 31yo and feel like I can commiserate with E wanting to hang out in jammies all day? I *don't*…but every morning I wish I could. 🙂 Lucky for me, on weekends or days I don't have to see anyone I can rock the yoga pants – they're almost like PJs. Hope you all have a great week!

  4. >i would probably live in my pj's if i could but luckily my kids are not very particular about their clothes–not yet anyway : ) oooh, i think i need the calzone recipe, i have never made them at home but i do love them! thanks for coffee.
