A {Lonely} Sound Bytes of the Week

Ok all you superstitious folks.

It’s Friday the 13th…I have to tell you that I did ponder staying in bed this morning, because I do believe in that stuff.

And when B2 told me he was going to Comic Con I have to admit I thought that I had won the bad luck lottery…the kids have a tendency to play me for a sucker when B2 is gone. So when he left this week I was nervous.

While I’m counting the days till he returns from his Fanboy trip to San Diego the kids have actually been GREAT. E has been hovering in the Orange and Yellow sections of the rainbow chart {which is REALLY good}. And I’ve been enjoying my alone time. Catching up on old episodes of Desperate Housewives and eating ice cream in bed. All in all we’ve been handling everything quite well, but…

We miss him, and our house isn’t the same without him. I know I mentioned it all yesterday’s saptastic post, but it is true.

I had no clue how the whole tee-ball schedule works, and it took me forever to find the ballpark.

Our other cat Scully would have starved to death had it not been for E.

And each time G says “Dada” and walks expectantly to the door my heart melts.

So, in order to distract ourselves from our missing family member, we will be occupying our weekend with family to celebrate my lovely niece’s first birthday. And in even BIGGER news E is spending the night with Mimi and Papa. This is big people, because he’s never stayed overnight somewhere without us. I preparing myself for a 2 a.m. phone call telling me they are bringing him home. Cross your fingers that he can make it through.

And cross your fingers that I can make it through till Monday when the hubs gets back.

Now let’s see if we can make it through this week’s Sound Bytes.

3. “I hear it tastes like ice cream…I hear…”
One conversation involving a “milkshake” turned into milking teets and the uses for breast milk. Oh the things we talk about.

2. “Danger Will Robinson.”
Oh, yes…it’s fanboy time.

1. ” You ate a Rockstar.”
You just gotta love autocorrect, because in one moment it can turn your friends into Rockstar eating cannibals.

What did you hear this week?

I’m off to start the weekend, and avoid black cats and ladders

Oh, and I’m off to look at more houses. Yep, we are doing that. Trust me there’s a WHOLE blog post percolating on that topic. Stay tuned.

Have a SUPER Weekend.

  1. My kids always go insane when Scott’s traveling. Like up every night five times and misbehaving everywhere insane. Hope you have a great weekend of house hunting and that B2 returns safely and soon!
