Give it a TRI: Bring on the Sun with Under Armour Marbella Sunglasses

My family and I received Under Armour sunglasses in exchange for this review.
However all opinions and Batman references are our own.

Five years ago when I first started competing in triathlons I wore glasses. Like prescription, I’m blind without them glasses. Let’s just say the swim was interesting. Also, the most annoying part was I couldn’t wear sunglasses. Prescription sunglasses would have cost me upwards of $600 and that was money that could be used for a new bike or six months of groceries.

On the cusp of my fourth year I tentatively asked my eye doctor if they made contacts for a legally blind triathlete, and if so would I need to either sell my right arm or take out a second mortgage to afford them.

To my surprise she said they did make contacts for me, and they were only $100. I danced a happy dance, and immediately went to the nearest sporting goods store to purchase some sport sunglasses.

Little did I know sport sunglasses can also be expensive and a tad intense. A multitude of different colored lenses and so many different lens shapes and sizes.

I randomly picked one that seemed to fit.

Ummm, yeah after my first outdoor run a few days later I realized they didn’t fit so well, or maybe it was too well. They were so tight I ended up getting headaches from them, and had indents behind my ears. OUCH!

Not only that but they fogged up incessantly. It was like being blind all over again.

So, when I was offered a pair of  the Under Armour Marabella sport sunglasses as part of my Girls Gone Sporty Ambassadorship I was excited.

Due to the unseasonable cold and rainy weather it was quite a while before I could give my UA Marbella’s a test drive.

Once the sun finally came out and I was able to give them a spin I was pleasantly surprised.

The glasses fit perfectly.

They didn’t rub or rest on my cheeks, which I hate because it makes the sunglasses bounce giving me motion sickness.

There wasn’t any pinching or indentations behind my ears.

They didn’t fog up.

They guarded my sensitive, contact laden eyes from both the sun and wind – without drying out my contacts.

In fact I barely knew they were on.

Under Armour also supplied sunnies for the rest of the family too.

Here’s what the boys had to say about their new shades.
